Cable Techniques

3/1/3 RPC: Slip 4 sts to CN and hold in back, K3, slip next st from CN to left needle and move CN to front, P1, K3 from CN.
3/1/3 LPC: Slip 3 sts to CN and hold in front, slip next st to second CN and hold in back, K3, P1 from back CN, K2 from front CN.

TOP AND BOTTOM BORDER

Right side: P2, [k3, p1] 5 times, k3, p2.
Wrong side: K2, [p3, k1] 5 times, p3, k2.

Main Pattern

Row 1 (RS): P2, [k3, p1] 5 times, k3, p2.
Wrong side rows: Knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.
